|   | | Frequently Asked Questions | |   | | • Server & Network Information | | | • Q: Are the servers in a Data Center or your House? | | | - A: Everything is in some of
the best data centers in the nation.
DATA
CENTER INFO
- Diesel-powered generators
- Multiple POEs (Point of Entry) for fiber,
electricity and generator inputs, with n+3
redundancy Capacity Planning - No fiber optic
link will ever peak at more than 33% of its
capacity. The capacity-load-ratio of the
network connectivity has always been at least
3:1
- 100Mbps connections to routers and switches
from the server. 1000Mbps (GigE) connections
from the routers and switches to the Internet
fiber connectivity
- Instant growth and scalability - We scale
and grow as your business demands it - upgrades
take less then one hour
- 24/7 Armed guards
- 24/7 Secured access with key swipe entry,
biometric thumb print verifier and a
double-locking man-trap at every door within the
datacenter and on the exterior
- 24/7 on-site maintenance staff with spare
parts for all server configurations
- Multiple GigE connections on privately-owned
dark fiber optical network. These GigE
connections link to multiple, redundant carriers
to make sure servers are always connected to the
Internet
- Security system with live monitored internal
cameras
- Instant on dry-pipe fire protection systems
| | | • Q: Can i test the speed of the network? | | | - A: You can run several network speed and response time test by
doing any of the following:
1.
Ping – you can ping a game IP (without the port
number) to see general response times.
2.
Pathping – you can use this to get more accurate
response times broken down by each hop you take to get to the server
3.
Tracert – you can tracert a game IP to get the
path and response times your internet connection takes to get to the server.

| | | • Q: What Network do you run on? | | | - A: All our servers are co-located at Colocrossing data centers.
Here is thier description of thier network, also viewable at: http://www.colocrossing.com
Our network connectivity at all locations is provided by Cisco® Catalyst
series equipment. No cost has been spared insuring the best possible
performance. In the event of regional network problems, our engineers can route
effected customers around the issue in just minutes. In the rare event that our
network fails, we have policies that protect our customers. If your service
uptime fails below 100% due to network related issues you will be issued
considerable credits on your next month of service. Please refer to our SLA for
additional details.
Our goal is to provide you with high quality,
mission critical network connectivity. Network download links, IP and ASN

Chicago: Transit
services at our Chicago IL presence are provided by Level3, nLayer, and
AT&T. Our Chicago network is also enlisted on the Equinix Peering Exchange,
providing us even more diverse connectivity via private/public peering.
New York: Being the most popular non-central hosting location in the
industry, having a stable, yet high performance NYC network is crucial. We meet
those expectations by utilizing Verizon Business, Level3, and Abovenet and
various private peers.
Dallas: Internap's intelligent routing technology
allows for "on the fly" routing assessment and optimizations. Simply put,
Internap's patented P-NAP Architecture constantly monitors internet conditions
and applies routing changes to ensure that packets follow the most direct and
latency optimal path available.
San Jose: Our SJC location sports
AT&T, Level3, Verizon (MCI) and Savvis. Our SJC location is housed in the
world class Equinix IBX datacenter.
